IB: 24 terrorists involved in Mumbai attacks.
There are conflicting reports on the number of terrorists who were carried out the Mumbai terror attacks. Mumbai police claim that 10 were involved while the National Security Guards says it was 8. However both the agencies have confirmed that one of the terrorists involved in the operation was arrested.
The investigating agencies are still trying to ascertain the exact number of terrorists involved in the attack. According to an IB officer, they have confirmed information that the attackers came in teams of three to Mumbai. In all there were around 24 members who carried out the attack on Mumbai.
The first batch, comprising 4 members, had entered Mumbai several weeks earlier and had stayed as college students. The 2nd team again comprising of 4 members came a few days prior and checked in at the Taj and Oberoi. The final batch came in 2 teams into Mumbai on 26th November.

India amongst the top 20 most dangerous places to visit on Earth
The 3 day terror attack on Mumbai has pushed India amongst the top 20 most dangerous places to visit on Earth, a British report has said.
Listing India among the world’s 20 most dangerous places after the Mumbai terror strike the British government is currently advising its citizens against all, but essential, travel to Mumbai.
India has been listed along side places like Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Mexico, Thailand and South Africa in the list.

Leopold Café opens and welcomes people with hugs, smiles
Mumbai is limping back to normalcy, the first signs of which can be seen at Leopold Café, which was one of the places attacked. The famous ‘Leopold Cafe’ reopened today with a slogan ‘Come to Leo with hugs and smiles’.
Raising a toast to the re-opening of his favourite cafe, Salim along with his young son, the first customer to enter the Leo’, said, “Come to Leo with hugs and smiles. Nothing to fear as the show must go on.”
But when looked around one could easily see the imprints left behind by the terrorists, bullet riddled thick glass panes and walls, splinter marks, a broken cashcounter and a small crater formed as a result of a grenade hurled are still visible, a testimony to what really happened at the café. The café is a favourite with foreign tourists and youngsters.

A A Qasab, who was caught alive reportedly told the police, “I have done right and I have no regrets.” Qasab has also confessed that he and his associate Ismail Khan were the ones who shot Anti-Terror Squad chief Hemant Karkare, encounter specialist Vijay Salaskar and Additional Commissioner Ashok Kamte.
According to the police, he had booked rooms in the Taj where the explosives were kept. They had showed Mauritian ID Cards and pretended as students at the hotel. Indian ID cards were also recovered from two terrorists at the Oberoi.
Around four months a recce of all the locations were done by a different group of terrorists. They had studied the satellite pictures of these hotels and had made detailed maps of them.

Anti – Terrorism Squad says: Dawood behind Mumbai attacks.
According to the Maharashtra Anti-Terrorism Squad, Underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, may be involved in organising the attack on Mumbai. Dawood is currently hiding in Pakistan.
According to them, the terrorists who attacked Taj, Oberoi and Nariman House included two British-born Pakistanis and one was a Yemeni national. These terrorists were heavily drugged and were using Blackberry phones to communicate.
All this information was gathered by the investigating agencies following their interrogation of 21-year-old terrorist Ajmal Amir Kamal, a resident of Faridkot, Multan in Pakistan.
